This is an image of what the Great Temple at Tenochtitlan might have looked like.
Here’s an idea related to the cogwheels and the Mesoamerican calendar.
This was a seed concept for the cover book #1. The temple is self-evident, but the cogwheels derive from the interlocking days of the Mesoamerican calendar in which each month has 20 named days that mesh with thirteen numbered days. A more sophisticated version of this might have stone cogwheels with the graphical symbols of the named days around the edge.
